We tend to get paralyzed by the thought of making a mistake. Your thoughts and fears manifest your creative style. When you learn from your mistakes, they have the power to turn your work into something better than it was before. Today push fear aside and let yourself know that your journey as an artist is amazing. Because how you 'think' about your work is your superpower to mastery. YOU GOT THIS!
Speaking of masters in finding their own style, our featured artist today is Nicolas Nemiri
"I don't consider myself to be a realistic draftsman. For example, I don't really like drawing everyday objects. I belong more to a dreamlike style. Among the Japanese, I love the way they see the world and how they view the imagination ... even when they are adults, the Japanese still tend to believe in legends and folklore. Conversely, I do not appreciate the social pressure that is permanently exerted on a large majority of the population. In France, I really like the critical spirit, which does not exist in Japan. But I find that our country is a little too "flirtatious". ~Nicolas Nemiri
Nemiri has stated that some of his artistic influences include European artist Jean Giraud (Moebius), Hugo Pratt and André Franquin as well as Japanese artist Katsuhiro Otomo, Hiroaki Samura, Shou Tajima. All of whom can be seen in his style and across his portfolio.
Thank. you Nicolas for being so amazing and such an inspiration!!!
